Wine & Buffalo? Do the two really go together?
Come visit us and find out! We offer on-site tasting and sales the old-fashioned way, in the winery, among the barrels. Our winery is located where the buffalo roam, on the Lone Buffalo Estate, about thirty-minutes East of Sacramento, in the Auburn/Newcastle area of Placer County. Mosey on over to our rustic tasting room fit for cowboys and kings. We’re just ten minutes off of the I-80 trail, an easy stop on your way to or from North Lake Tahoe and just five minutes from Historic Old Town Auburn.
Tasting Room Hours:
Fri/Sat/Sun 12-5 p.m.
(Closed 4th of July weekend.)

Note:
The latest joke around here is "fine wines, few signs." Here's some helpful tips to guide you to the tasting room:
-
Keep an eye out for "Wine Trail" signs along Indian Hill and Auburn Folsom Road.
-
Don't take Maidu - it's confusing, just stick with Auburn Folsom Road & Shirland Tract (we are at the lower end of Shirland Tract).
-
There is a PlacerGROWN directional "1 Mile" sign at the corner of Auburn Folsom Road & Shirland Tract.
-
If you passed Scott's Hay & Feed or Dal Pino Pools, you've gone too far.
-
There is no sign on Shirland Tract and Burgard, but Burgard is the first "private road" on the right (about 1/4 mile up from Scott's Hay & Feed / Rattlesnake Bar).
-
Follow Burgard all the way to the end - you'll see little"buffalo" directional arrow signs, follow those and you'll get there.
-
Don't be afraid to call if you're lost - or just keep trying - it's worth it, we promise!
